Service Learning

The Community CENTER has supported faculty members in developing service-learning courses that involve Cal Poly students who provide direct service to local non-profit agencies. These courses allow students to engage in service, typically 12-14 hours per quarter, enhancing their knowledge base and increasing the effectiveness of the course. Student mentors facilitate class reflections and coordinate placements in local agencies.
