WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

The Women's Leadership Council (WLC) is a group of empowered female-identified Cal Poly students united in their interest in working towards gender equity. The purpose of the council is to educate its members and the community about important topics that affect women and to prepare the members of the council to be socially responsible leaders upon graduation. The WLC does this by:

  • Providing service work and fundraising for local nonprofits
  • Providing members with event planning and project management opportunities to develop their leadership skills
  • Receiving education about career planning, professionalism, leadership, gender topics, and gender equity
  • Implementing new educational events on social justice topics
  • Volunteering for Gender Equity Center events
  • Creating a supportive community for its' members
